Motivation letter
The motivation letter should clearly convey your personal interest, academic background, and ambition to pursue the Master’s program in Visual Computing at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. While each letter will naturally be unique, applicants are encouraged to address the following key aspects:
- Relevant courses you have completed
- Relevant internships and professional experience
- Academic publications (if applicable)
- Personal or academic projects related to visual computing (Please include links to project websites, portfolios, or code repositories to help us better understand your work.)
- Your motivation for applying to this program (e.g., your career goals and how the program supports them)
- The areas of visual computing that interest you most and why
Please note that some agencies offer pre-written motivation letters for Master’s programs. Such services cannot provide a letter that is genuinely tailored to visual computing or to the specific focus of our program. For the same reasons an AI-written letters are also discouraged. Authentic, personal statements are strongly encouraged and valued.
