From June 10 to 17, 2025, the Eco-Social University Days will take place under the motto “Together Festival”. The focus will be on social interaction and community in Magdeburg. A variety of food, music and events, hands-on activities and art and craft stalls are planned.

June 12, 2025 marks the premiere of a joint project between the university and the state capital's Schauspielhaus. Under the title “This, that, pineapple”, texts will be presented that have been created from street interviews conducted by students with Magdeburg residents.

The Felicia Festival of Artificial Intelligence and Acoustics will also take place for the first time as a summer edition in the Klosterbergegarten, the Gruson Greenhouses and the Gesellschaftshaus from June 13 to 15, 2025. Events include a night concert and open-air projections at the Gesellschaftshaus, a scenic reading, an audio walk through the park, electronic music floors, experimental stations, an AI listening lounge, workshops and multimedia concerts as well as a closing party.

The German Research Foundation has announced which Clusters of Excellence will be funded from 2026. Unfortunately, the SmartProSys application from our university is not one of them. The civil engineering and pipeline work to implement the energy concept makes it necessary to close Falkenbergstraße south of the buildings G05 / G06 / G12 intersection to regular vehicle traffic until July 31, 2025 and the northern section from August 1 to October 31, 2025. The Eco-Social University Days (ÖSHT) are dedicated to social interaction and community in Magdeburg from June 10 to 17, 2025. All organizations, associations, but also individuals are invited to help shape them and register in the “interested parties form”. Campus holiday at OVGU! Children aged 6 to 11 will once again have the opportunity to immerse themselves in university life for a week this year. Anyone interested can make a note of the period from June 30 to July 18, 2025. Registration for the draw will be possible from March. 

The exhibition “Immanuel Kant's essay ‘On Perpetual Peace’ in book series” can be seen in the University Library until March 31, 2025. It presents editions of Kant's 1795 peace essay from the Ute-und-Wolfram-Neumann-Stiftung book series. Neele Wiezer curated the exhibition, which was prepared by the Chair of German Cultural Studies: Modern German Literature and the Book Series Research Unit. It can be visited during the library's opening hours.
