Die Zweiphotonenmikroskopie gewinnt stetig an Ansehen als wichtiges Werkzeug der Beobachtung von lokalen Schaltkreiselementaktivitäten in hoher räumlicher und zeitlicher Auflösung.
Sie erlaubt Einblicke in die Verschlüsselung von Informationen und Übermittlung von Signalen durch die unterschiedlichen Hirnregionen durch die neuronalen Schaltkreise. Wir nutzen die moderne in vivo Zweiphotonenmikroskopie um die zelltypspezifischen Mikroschaltkreise innerhalb des zerebralen Kortex als auch zu subkortikalen Strukturen, zu untersuchen.
