In the summer semester 2021, examinations will be possible both in presence and digitally. Despite the currently very low incidence figures, for reasons of infection control, face-to-face examinations will continue to be held this semester only under special security precautions. The decreasing incidences and the positive trend of the overall pandemic situation allow us to set stage 2 of the University of Magdeburg's stage plan with immediate effect. Further information on the upcoming examinations will follow soon.
The university management therefore considers the change to Grade 3 of our valid Gradual Plan to be justified. The incidences in Magdeburg and also in the surrounding area are currently developing positively and have stabilised at a number well below 100. The relaxations that are now possible primarily concern activities outside the study programmes.
From May 5, 2021, the university library will reopen to the public on a limited basis. However, a prerequisite for this is a negative daily Corona rapid test. There are also important changes for the testing center on the main campus. Students can now use this without restriction.
With the publication of the new hygiene concept of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, new hygiene measures will also apply on campus from 6 April 2021. We would like to point out to all university members and guests that these regulations must be observed. Below you will find an overview of the changes.
