Graduation farewell

Current notice: We, the alumni team, the university management and the deputies of the faculties have very much hoped for a realisation of the graduation ceremony. In view of the dynamic development of the pandemic situation in the country, the 2021 graduation ceremony must unfortunately be cancelled at short notice. We hope for your understanding and that the situation will improve soon. All tickets booked will be automatically cancelled and the amount paid will be refunded. We sincerely wish you all the best and stay healthy!

Do you remember your first days at university? Your first lectures and seminars, the excitement and tension before the first exam?

Since then, you have learned, practiced and experienced a lot together. You have made friends, met interesting people and taken a big step towards self-realization. And now you hold your degree in your hands.

We congratulate you on this achievement!

No matter if you will stay at the University of Magdeburg to continue your studies or in the context of a scientific work, or if you are drawn to the world and a professional life outside of the university: We wish you all the best for your new start! Please continue to be determined, committed and curious.

We say goodbye here digitally. From November 2021 onwards, we will accompany you virtually on this website as you graduate. Remember together with us your student days and your experiences on campus. In this spirit: Take care – your alma mater Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg.
