The goal of the master’s program in Financial Economics is to enable students to recognize and analyze economic problems on an academic level. Upon graduation, students will be able to independently develop solutions and utilize alternative problem solving methods to think in a systematic way. These are valuable skills for understanding and to evaluating complex relationships from multiple points of view.

This study program builds upon a foundation in quantitative methods, econometrics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics, which are taught during the first and second semesters. In the final semesters, students have the option to specialize in either applied economics or applied finance.

Career Perspectives

This study program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, methods, and skills necessary for professional careers as economists, financial analysts, or managers in both the private and public sectors of locally and international institutions. Graduates will be able to find jobs within a variety of companies such as consultancy firms, financial institutions, insurance agencies, and more. Moreover, the study program prepares students with the necessary business and economic knowledge to seek a doctoral study program (Ph.D.) in this field.
