Which applications must be submitted via uni-assist e.V.?

Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg is a uni-assist member. That means that all applications for admission from applicants who have obtained their entrance qualification for higher education (for bachelor degree) and/or Master’s degree abroad are pre-checked by uni-assist e.V. This also applies to Master's applications if a 1st Master's degree has already been obtained in Germany (exception: OVGU graduates).

For all applicants who apply with an international educational qualification (A-Levels, High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate, Feststellungsprüfung or similar), the application is also made via the uni-assist e.V., irrespective of the applicant’s nationality.

Please note that applications for the Master's degree programmes Integrative Neuroscience and Performance Analysis of Sport are always made via uni-assist.

 

Exceptions

1. Prospective students of human medicine can find more information on the application process directly on the website of the Faculty of Medicine.
2. Prospective students for the first semester of the Bachelor of Psychology programme who are citizens of an EU member state, the EEA states Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland or have a German university entrance qualification (Bildungsinländer:innen) must first register via Hochschulstart and then apply to OVGU. 3. Foreign nationals must apply directly to the university, if they

• have already been enrolled at OVGU at any time in the past;
• have obtained their Bachelor's degree in Germany and are seeking a Master's degree;
• are interested in teacher training programmes; further education programmes; doctoral programmes/doctoral studies;
• are scholarship holders for the Master's programme "Peace and Conflict Studies", CONACyT applicants from Mexico.
