OVGU's central IT services must be operated reliably, securely, and continuously for more than 20,000 users. Higher salaries for university employees

Employees working under collective agreements in the federal states are to receive a 5.8 percent salary increase starting in April. This is the compromise negotiated by representatives of the federal states and the unions. Employees will receive at least €100 more per month in three stages. Junior staff will receive an additional €150. The unions are demanding that the agreement also apply to civil servants and pensioners. The state representatives rejected a collective agreement for student employees, but the minimum hourly wage will be increased to €15.20 from the 2026 summer semester and to €15.90 a year later.
