With a total budget of €25 million, the EU will award fellowships under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions to refugee doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from Ukraine.
They will be supported to continue their work in academic and non-academic organisations in EU Member States and countries associated to Horizon Europe.

The new regulations of the Horizon Europe work programme 2021-2022 play a role here:

  • Promotion of scientific excellence
  • Skills and career development
  • equal opportunities and inclusiveness
  • attractive working conditions

There will be further support for researchers in various forms. Among other things, there will be family allowances, as in the other Marie Skłodowska-Curie measures. Training measures will also be part of the programme.

Further information on the implementation of the programme for institutions wishing to host researchers will be published by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions after summer 2022, according to the announcement.
