Application Section A

The first section of the application provides the European Commission with initial basic information about the project, the consortium and the budget. This information is entered directly online via the Participant Portal.

A1: General information on the project

The key details of the project submitted are presented here: title, acronym, duration and keywords.

Hints:

You can search in Cordis for duplicates of the acronym you wish to use for your project cordis.europa.eu

When writing the abstract (limit 2000 characters), please note that it will be available in Cordis in perpetuity.

A2: Information about the partners

Each partner institution (incl. the project coordinator) can enter administrative information here, such as the contact details of the institution, the department or the PIC.

In the case of two-stage applications, the partners are not entered in the Participant Portal in stage 1, but instead are listed in tabular form in the application text section B. Consequently, only the coordinator has access to the Participant Portal, and enters his details in A2.

A3: Cost overview

The budget information is entered in tabular form. A distinction must be made between personnel costs, other direct costs, subcontracts and indirect costs. Furthermore, the overall budget and the EU contribution applied for must be shown.

A4: Ethics table

This table looks at possible ethical aspects of the project using predetermined points such as the protection of private data. In the event that ethical questions arise as part of the project, enter the number of the page in Section B of the application where an explanation of the way in which ethical questions arising during the project will be dealt with can be found.
