Market of Opportunities - Winter semester only

On October 9, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg cordially invites all new students to the Market of Opportunities on the main campus. As part of the induction days, this special afternoon offers the opportunity to get to know the diverse life on and off campus.

Central institutions, student councils, student initiatives and many other contact points present themselves with stands, activities and personal discussions. Whether it's advice, support in everyday student life or leisure activities - here you will find all the information you need to start your studies.

Over 50 student initiatives invite you to get involved - from cultural activities, social projects and sport to professional networks and political groups. Those who get involved can not only contribute their interests and hobbies, but also get to know many new people and actively shape their own time at university.

At the same time, numerous university and city institutions that play an important role during your studies will also be presenting themselves - from advice and mobility to leisure and cultural activities.
