The DAAD is the world's largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. Building on its previous sustained success in supporting outstanding students and researchers, the DAAD aims to prepare future professionals and leaders for responsible action and to create lasting connections around the world - not least through the professional and cultural networking of its scholarship holders and alumni. The German Academic Exchange Service supports students and graduates from various disciplines, including those from abroad. It offers more than 200 programmes and projects in all countries of the world, such as one-year and short scholarships, short-term study visits, language course scholarships and specialist course scholarships.
