Half of the Germany Scholarship is funded by the federal government and the other half by companies, institutions and associations. Within the first few weeks after the scholarship has been approved, we will send you the name and contact details of your sponsor. Get in touch, write a short email to your sponsor and introduce yourself. Here is a little suggestion for your first email:

At the beginning of each funding period, there will be a short scholarship kick-off event where you can meet the other scholarship holders, learn about the scholarship programme and ask questions. Feel free to join us – it's digital and very entertaining.

At the scholarship award ceremony, the scholarship certificates are presented each year and the new scholarship holders and sponsors are welcomed to the programme. You will have the opportunity to meet your sponsor and exchange ideas with other students. The event is definitely worthwhile for getting to know the scholarship network.
The scholarship award ceremony for the winter semester 2025-26 took place on November 13, 2025 at the sponsor ZENIT GmbH in Brenneckestraße 20, 39118 Magdeburg.
