National Cycling Plan: non-investment measures (Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr)
The bicycle stands for individual, sustainable, resilient, health-promoting, time-flexible and cost-effective mobility in everyday life and leisure. To this end, a new strategy for cycling in Germany, the National Cycling Plan 3.0 Cycling in Germany 2030 (NRVP 3.0), defines the fields of action and targets up to the year 2030.
The following key objectives are pursued with this funding guideline:
- Seamless cycling in Germany,
- Governance for strong cycling,
- Communication and education create a cycling culture,
- Vision Zero mission statement,
- Germany as a cycling location,
- Freight and commercial traffic uses the bicycle,
- Bicycle Commuting Germany,
- City and country,
- Innovation and digitalisation
The projects should produce results that are transferable to comparable use cases, i.e. they must be applicable as models (not just a one-off activity or one that can only be implemented in one place) or provide new insights into the topic being worked on.
In addition to funding model projects for the implementation of the NRVP 3.0, support is also provided for projects and studies that aim to meet a particular need for action and knowledge or that have a fundamental task and coordination character with regard to the NRVP 3.0.
The funding rund until 31.12.2025. The submission deadline is 01.08. each year.
