Digital Teaching Days 2020

Within a very short time, teaching at the University of Magdeburg was reinvented by the corona pandemic. Online instead of face-to-face lectures, video-conferencing instead of seminars and YouTube streams instead of the lecture in the lecture hall were suddenly the means of choice for the digital summer semester 2020.

For lecturers who have been involved in digital teaching for many years, this could be mastered. However, some of them were familiarising themselves with digital teaching for the first time. And even students who are considered digital natives first had to familiarise themselves with new tools and completely restructure them.

The Digital Teaching Days helped to network the members of the university and provide mutual support. Teachers and students were able to exchange ideas on the subject of digital teaching, learn from best practice examples and attend online seminars.

Since the feedback on the workshop series lasting several days in May was very positive and neither demand nor supply was cut off, the Digital Teaching Days were continued and took place on Wednesdays throughout June.

Below you will find a documentation of the events.
