In this workshop, we will look at the construction of 'race' in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. We will examine how 'race' is culturally constructed and how this construction mirrors sociological processes in our own world. The interdisciplinary and bilingual B.A. programme Cultural Engineering offers courses in a range of study fields, enabling students to engage with central contemporary social issues, such as questions of race and identity, from a variety of perspectives.
