How do I apply directly to OVGU?

Applicants from categories 1 and 2 apply via myOVGU:

  • Registration: First register on the myOVGU application portal or log in with your existing university account.

  • Application: Then apply for your desired degree programme. If you are asked to do so, please upload all the documents required for your application during the online application process. They are being processed directly. It is only necessary to send documents by post once you have been admitted. The online application is complete when it has the status "received".

  • Processing: After completing the online application, your documents are reviewed by our staff. Once the examination is finished, you receive an offer of admission or a rejection via myOVGU. Therefore, please check your e-mail inbox for incoming status changes or regularly log in to the portal.

  • Enrolment: If you received an admission, your first step is to enrol online via myOVGU. Please note the deadlines (for acceptance of the study place) in your letter of admission. As soon as you complete the online enrolment, please print out the "Application for enrolment", sign it and send it by post with the documents listed therein.

Once the semester fee has been received and your insurance status has been checked, your enrolment will be processed by our staff. You will then receive your enrolment documents for the start of your studies.

ATTENTION: Foreign citizens with a Studienkolleg degree are not Bildungsinländer and therefore apply for a place on a Bachelor's degree programme via uni-assist.

External applicants who have already obtained a Master's degree in Germany and wish to apply for a second Master's programme at OVGU must apply again via uni-assist. Please note that enrolment in a second degree programme incurs fees of €500 per semester.
