Horizont-Europa-Arbeitsprogrammes 2026/2027 are published
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the European Commission published the Horizon Europe Work Programmes with the calls for 2026–2027, outlining the upcoming funding opportunities under these programmes.
You can find the work programmes on the European Commission’s website as well as on the EU Funding and Tenders Portal. In the portal are listed the individual topics, where you can search for them specifically.
Start-up Funding for Horizon Europe for German coordinators
Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports German coordinators in extending their European networks and in preparing of project proposals in Pillar II of "Horizon Europe".
Support & information for researchers from Ukraine
The website ERA4Ukraine (also in Ukrainian) informs refugee scientists from Ukraine about the assistance and support offered by the European Commission, the EU member states and associated countries.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: New Factsheet
In line with the opening of the first calls, the European Commission has published a new factsheet on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The most important key figures and characteristics of the MSC actionss are presented on 4 pages.

The European Commission has published a Program Guide for Horizon Europe. The document serves as a source of information for anyone wishing to submit an application to Horizon Europe. It also contains background information on the fundamentals of the program, which may be helpful when submitting an application. In addition, important terms are explained.

Switzerland's Participation in Horizon Europe
For the time being, Switzerland can only participate in the first calls of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe as a non-associated third country.
ESFRI Roadmap: New Research Infrastructures
The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) has announced 11 new projects to be included on the European ESFRI Roadmap of Research Infrastructures.
