Credit transfer from studies abroad

The recognition of academic achievements from studies abroad is the responsibility of the student's faculty/department. As a general rule, the academic learning outcome of courses accomplished abroad must not represent a "substantial difference" from that of comparable home degree courses. In principle, recognition can only be denied if your faculty/department identifies substantial differences and can prove them.

Students who wish to have achievements from their planned study abroad recognized for their studies at OVGU must contact their examination office or the responsible study coordinator well in advance of starting the semester abroad and must prepare the relevant form: WELTWEIT Learning Agreement

Usually, any credit transfer after the mobility abroad, without previous arrangement, shall be excluded.

There are no generally valid conversion tables for credit points or grades from other countries at OVGU. Each faculty decides for itself on recognition and grade conversion.
