I am a Junior Professor and a Research Team Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Magdeburg (MPI Magdeburg) and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU Magdeburg). I have many years of research experience in several different areas including computer-aided molecular design of solvents, ionic liquid based sustainable process engineering, multiscale process modeling and optimization, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning. I have published > 30 articles in highly recognized journals. I have earned several important honors and awards including the Outstanding Reviewers for Chemical Engineering Science, Chinese-German Chemical Association (CGCA) Young Researchers Award, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad, and the CAST Directors Award granted by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
