IKUS

IKUS is an intercultural student organisation that supports international students in Magdeburg and brings them together with German students. They are an intercultural team and as students of OVGU, they give their time to IKUS on a voluntary basis.

RIA-Buddys

On request, this programme provides international students with a “buddy”, in other words a student who has already been living in Magdeburg for a while. For example, a “buddy” can help you with the following:

• Looking for accommodation
• Health insurance
• Local administration office
• Opening a bank account
• Enrolment
• Immigration authorities and
• Your course of studies

SIMP-SON

SIMP-SON stands for “Students’ International Mentoring Programme Social Organisational Network” of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

MIPS (Magdeburg International PhD Students)

MIPS was commissioned by the International Office at OVGU in December 2006 as an initiative "by PhD candidated for PhD candidates." Members are both PhD candidates and postdocs from Germany and abroad.
