International Meeting Place - The International Meeting Place (German: Internationales Begegnungszentrum) provides a forum where foreign and German academics in the Magdeburg area can meet and exchange both work-related and cultural ideas.
Academia thrives on facts, ideas and methods mixed with the key ingredient – people. In the pleasant atmosphere of the Internationales Begegnungszentrum (IBZ) you can meet other scholars and make friends as well as forge and develop academic co-operation. The IBZ provides the ideal venue for events of this kind.
The IBZ also includes accommodation for foreign visitors and their families. Visiting professors and lecturers are accommodated for longer periods in comfortable, self-contained apartments. This helps them to integrate into everyday German life.
